By placing an order on our website, you agree to the following terms.


1. General

1.1 These Terms & Conditions govern all orders placed through plaq.studio.

1.2 The webshop sells personalized, made-to-order products, generated and manufactured based on customer input.

1.3 Sandbox Services BV reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes apply only to future orders.


2. Products

2.1 PLAQ creates custom 3D-printed signs and related items, based on the personalization text entered by the customer.

2.2 Product images, previews, and descriptions provide an accurate representation of the final product.

2.3 Minor variations in finish, texture, or color may occur due to the nature of 3D printing and are not considered defects.

2.4 The customer is responsible for verifying spelling, text, or customization before placing the order.


3. Personalised Goods & Right of Withdrawal

3.1 All items sold on plaq.studio are customized using customer-provided text or configurations.

3.2 Under Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specification or clearly personalized.

Therefore:

No returns, cancellations, or refunds are accepted for personalized items unless they arrive defective or incorrect due to our error.

3.3 Customers may be asked to provide photos when reporting a defect.

3.4 If a defect is confirmed, PLAQ will offer a suitable remedy: replacement, refund, or an alternative solution.


4. Orders & Order Process

4.1 By placing an order, the customer enters into a binding contract with Sandbox Services BV.

4.2 Orders are processed based on the customization text exactly as entered.

4.3 After placing the order, production often begins immediately, meaning changes or cancellations may not be possible.


5. Prices & Payment

5.1 All prices are displayed in euros (€) and include VAT where applicable.

5.2 Payment methods include those offered via Mollie, such as:

  • Bancontact
  • Credit card
  • iDEAL
  • SEPA
  • PayPal (if enabled)

5.3 Payments must be completed before production begins.


6. Shipping & Delivery

6.1 PLAQ ships to customers within the European Union.

6.2 Orders are shipped using Bpost or another equivalent carrier chosen by PLAQ.

6.3 Shipping costs are calculated during checkout.

6.4 Estimated delivery times are provided for reference; delays caused by carriers are outside our control and do not form grounds for compensation.

6.5 The customer is responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address. Re-shipment due to an incorrect address may incur additional fees.


7. Reporting Defects

7.1 Any defect, damage, or production error must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

7.2 Provide clear photos of:

  • the product
  • the defect
  • the packaging (if damaged)

7.3 PLAQ will review the case and determine the appropriate solution.


8. Returns

8.1 Returns are only accepted when explicitly authorized by PLAQ after reviewing a defect.

8.2 Return shipping costs are paid by the customer unless otherwise agreed.

8.3 Unauthorized returns may be refused or not refunded.


9. Warranty

9.1 PLAQ guarantees that all products are produced and shipped in good condition.

9.2 Wear, misuse, exposure to heat, weather, or chemicals is not covered under warranty.

9.3 Slight variations inherent to 3D printing processes do not constitute a defect.


10. Liability

10.1 PLAQ is not liable for:

  • typographical errors entered by the customer
  • indirect or consequential damages
  • delays caused by carriers
  • misuse or improper handling of products

10.2 Maximum liability is limited to the order value of the affected product.


11. Customer Accounts

11.1 Customers may create an account but are not required to.

11.2 Customers are responsible for maintaining secure login credentials.

11.3 PLAQ may suspend or terminate accounts in cases of abuse or fraudulent activity.


12. Privacy & Data Protection

12.1 All customer data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on the website.

12.2 By placing an order, the customer consents to the processing of personal data necessary for handling their purchase.

12.3 Third-party processors include:

  • WooCommerce
  • Mollie
  • Bpost
  • Postmark
  • Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager
  • CookieScript

13. Intellectual Property

13.1 All designs, product configurations, 3D models, branding, and website content are the intellectual property of Sandbox Services BV.

13.2 Customers may not reproduce, copy, modify, or resell any designs or product files.


14. Governing Law

14.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by Belgian law.

14.2 Any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Limburg, Belgium.
